We are proud to announce that Nectar Coffee Company Coffee will now be served exclusively for brunch at the original Por Que No Taqueria located in North Portland. Besides having incredible house-made corn tortillas, chorizo and horchata, they are in line with our own views of sustainability. Por Que No Taqueria uses locally sources produce and meats, seafood from responsibly managed fisheries, use compostable products and they even recycle the GMO-free rice bran oil they use in the fryer to power the company vehicle! Whooo….Hooo!!!
Check out their website for more info and don’t forget to stop by their North Portland location for some delicious chilaquiles for brunch! Oh and did we mention… their kid friendly too!

Well, well, well, if it isn’t the blog-o-sphere? I can’t say that I have ever blogged in my life, I am a blog virgin if you will. This is my attempt at becoming current I suppose. So without further ado, I present to you Nectar coffee company’s official blog. I’m really excited about what’s been going on lately, we finally have our roaster in and a majority of our equipment, all of our green coffee and plenty of gas to burn. The coffee roaster we purchased is an Ambex YM-2. It is a 2 kilo drum roaster and runs on propane gas. I did the first test batches on it yesterday and it seems to be running well. I plan on running a few more test batches and then I will get to dialing in all of our offering coffees. Our very good friends, Matt and Lynsee and my brother-in-law Scott are responsible for all of the design work and the website, they have been working tirelessly and without pay I might add and I can’t thank them enough. Please stay tuned for more super blogging and some pics as well.
